About Dr. Azurin
Daniel J. Azurin, M.D. has extensive experience and talent in performing cosmetic plastic surgery. Dr. Azurin has specialized soley in cosmetic plastic surgery for greater than 16 years.
Dr. Azurin was formally trained in Plastic Surgery at both Brown University and the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to completing a plastic surgical residency and a research fellowship at Brown and Penn, he completed a full general surgery residency at Pennsylvania Hospital. Dr. Azurin was awarded an aesthetic fellowship at the prestigious and world-renowned Institute for Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, associated with Vanderbilt University; where he was hand-trained by the pioneers of modern aesthetic plastic surgery. Dr. Azurin received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Azurin has conducted significant research in many areas of surgery, ranging from craniofacial surgery to vascular surgery. He is extensively published in many leading medical journals, such as, Plastic Reconstructive Surgery, the most recognized plastic surgery journal in the world. He has also authored book chapters in cosmetic surgery. His work has been presented at major meetings, both nationally and internationally. Dr. Azurin has received numerous awards and accolades; such as, being recognized in "The Best of Miami" Ocean Drive Magazine for performing the best breast augmentation.
An accomplished instructor, Dr. Azurin has trained medical students, residents, and fellow colleagues in both plastic and general surgery.
